7 years ago today we officially began our autism journey. Three days before his third birthday, we got the official diagnosis of Sheldon being in the moderate range on the autism spectrum. Although the diagnosis was not a surprise, I still remember the tears and time of mourning for the life he would never have. Little did I know that the life he has had would be far more rich than most people could ever imagine, and he's blessed our lives in ways I can't adequately explain. I love you, Bubby. You've taught me far more than I could ever hope to teach you!
