They are Having a Rough Time

This! I try to be very clear, but apparently there are still people who think Bub misbehaves when he melts down or hits me. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! Bub is a very well-behaved little boy. He's sweet and kind and everyone who knows him adores him. He's my big snuggle-baby, and I adore him! 

Sheldon has some severe sensory triggers. He melts down, hits, kicks, etc. when one of those triggers passes his capacity to handle it. His biggest trigger is crying & yelling. He simply cannot process it. He also struggles with loud noises, crowds, and changes in routine.

This is the main struggle with keeping him & Reed together. Reed doesn't talk yet, so he yells or cries as communication. Sheldon's little body can't handle it, and acts out until it stops and his body can get itself back to "normal". He does not throw a tantrum to get his own way. He only struggles when his senses are disrupted. He's not giving us a hard time. He's having a hard time.
